About Oktopus Prod

Oktopus Prod is a video production company that operates YouTube channels. It is registered in Malta and currently operates one channel, Derrière la Machine, a French-language channel about how everyday objects are manufactured.

What we do

We bring YouTube channels together under one roof. Each channel keeps its own name, its own subject and its own voice; what they share is production, editing and the decisions about what is worth making. The aim is that a channel can concentrate on its subject while the work around it is handled in one place.

Our channels

Derrière la Machine

Derrière la Machine is operated by Oktopus Prod. It is a French-language YouTube channel that looks at the machines and production lines behind ordinary objects — how a vacuum cleaner actually works, how hydroelectric dams get built, how Swiss army knives are made. The channel can be watched at youtube.com/@DerrièrelaMachine.

A note on the name

Oktopus Prod is not affiliated with any other organisation using a similar name, including the French association Oktopus Prod registered in the Ain département, or Octopus Productions, the French sound production company at octopusprod.com. The only YouTube channel operated by this company is the one listed above.
